You can't buy a ticket for a seat at the Astrodome anymore...but you can buy the seats. The seats from the iconic dome are being sold online for $200 a pair at reliantpark.com. The fate of the Houston landmark remains uncertain, though. Voters turned down a bond issue that would have funded the Astrodome's conversion into an events center.
Vanderbilt will face Houston in the BBVA Compass Bowl on Jan. 4th at Legion Field. It'll be Vandy's third straight bowl game for the first time ever, all under current head coach James Franklin. Rumor has it that we will have tickets for our listeners to that game. Keep it on the Z for confirmation.

A new survey says Americans no longer trust each other. The survey about trust has been conducted for many decades. In 1972, half of those surveyed said, "most people can be trusted." Today, only one third of Americans believe it's true. And this was not about trust in big institutions like government or Wall Street. The poll was about regular trust of the people around us.

Paradise Ventures has announced that we will indeed get a new Publix grocery store in Rainbow City. The store should be open sometime in late 2014 at a new development near the intersection of Hiway 77 and Rainbow Drive. The new shopping complex will be known as Rainbow Landing.
